Job Description

ROLE: Children’s Residential Team Leader – Children’s Home
SALARY: £31,807 to £36,607 per/annum
LOCATION: Rugeley, Staffordshire
HOURS/SHIFTS: circa 56.4 hrs/per week (1on 2 off)
REPORTS TO: HOME MANAGER

Coben Healthcare is delighted to be working as recruitment partner to this fantastic Children’s Residential Home as they embark on their project to secure the very best Residential Team Leader for their state of the art Children’s home in the heart of the bustling market town of Rugeley on the Northeastern edge of Connock Chase, Staffordshire, where an experienced team of residential care workers offer a fantastic environment for young people with complex needs or EBD.

About the role
As a Team Leader, you will oversee the daily operation of the home, lead and support a team of Residential Care Workers, and ensure high-quality, person-centred care for the children. You will act as a role model, promote best practices, and ensure the team delivers consistent, safe, and nurturing care.

Lead, motivate, and support a team of care workers.
Ensure all care plans are implemented effectively and updated regularly.
Monitor the progress, wellbeing, and behaviour of children.
Record, report, and evaluate observations, incidents, and outcomes.
Promote positive relationships with children, families, and external professionals.
Maintain high standards of safeguarding and compliance with regulations.

What We’re Looking For
Experience working with children with EBD or complex needs.
Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.

Education and Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children’s Residential Care (Desireable)
Automatic Driving Licence (Essential)
