ROLE: HEAD CHEF (Nursing Home)
SALARY: £16.50 per/hour
LOCATION: Woodbridge, nr Ipswich, Suffolk
HOURS: circa 40 hrs/per week
REPORTS TO: HOME MANAGER
Coben Healthcare is delighted to support a fantastic Care Home looking to recruit a Head Chef to join their stunning Residential Nursing Home situated near Woodbridge, nr Ipswich, Suffolk, where an experienced team of careers offer a fantastic environment for nursing and residential long stay care.
About the role
As a Head Chef, you will play a crucial role in providing nutritious and well-balanced meals for residents while ensuring a high standard of culinary excellence. You will be responsible for managing the kitchen staff, overseeing food preparation, menu planning, and maintaining compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
In addition to cultivating a positive dining atmosphere for residents and catering to their special dietary requirements, this role encompasses crucial responsibilities.
You will play a pivotal role in staff training, ensuring a commitment to health and safety standards, and upholding a pristine and well-organised kitchen environment.
What We’re Looking For
A skilled and creative Head Chef with a passion for creating homemade foods with great nutritional value for the elderly residents.
Excellent culinary, organisational and communication skills
Experience in a care setting is advantageous, but not essential
Education and Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 in Catering
Food Hygiene Certified
