Job Description

Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (EBD)

Location: Erdington
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
Full UK driving licence (automatic) required

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our 3-bedded children’s home in Erdington.

This role is ideal for an established Registered Manager or an ambitious Deputy Manager ready to step up into leadership. You will be responsible for the overall management of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards, safeguarding requirements, and the delivery of exceptional care for young people.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day running of the home in line with Ofsted and regulatory standards
Lead, motivate, and support a team to deliver high-quality, child-centred care
Ensure effective care planning, risk management, and staff supervision
Promote safeguarding and wellbeing of all young people within the home
Oversee audits, reports, and quality assurance processes
Build strong relationships with external professionals, families, and local authorities
Drive continuous improvement to maintain and exceed the current Ofsted “GOOD” rating
Requirements

Proven experience working within a children’s residential care setting (EBD experience desirable)
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards) – essential
Excellent understanding of Ofsted inspection frameworks and safeguarding legislation
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Ability to inspire and develop a positive team culture
Full UK driving licence (automatic) – essential
Must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
