Job Description

Role: Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN)
Location: Norwich
Hours: Mixed (Days/Nights)
Salary: £23 per hour

About the role
As a nurse working for a care home, you will play a crucial role in providing high quality nursing care to residents. You will work as a member of the nursing team, carrying out all relevant forms of care in conjunction with other nurse practitioners. Ensuring that care services are consistently provided to a high-quality standard ensuring the personal care needs of residents, are met while respecting the dignity of the individual and promoting independence. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the well-being and health of the elderly or individuals with various medical conditions who reside in the care home. We will be carrying out supervisions as part of your job role.
Skills and attributes
Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures, including medication administration and wound care.
Ability to empathise and communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team.
Strong organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in caring for older adults.
Flexibility to work, day, evening, night shifts, and weekends as required.
NMC Pin required.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

To accurately assess the needs of residents and identify priorities of care
To administer all medication and treatments within the NMC guidelines client’s medication policy
Report any ill health amongst residents and make request for GP/professional visit where necessary
Responsible for reporting to the safeguard team incidents or concerns related to safeguarding adults.
Ensure that residents care plans are completed and maintained in conjunction with residents, relatives and other health care professionals, and in accordance with NMC guideline & association policy.
Assess all aspects of resident’s care needs and provide health supervision and direct nursing care when required.
Assess social and health care needs of new residents, and maintain on-going assessment and review of all other residents
Maintain accurate records and ensure that each resident within the Home has an individualised care plan.
Resident care plans to be reviewed on a monthly basis, or more frequently as and when required, in accordance with NMC guidelines & company policy.
