Job Description

ROLE: SUPPORT MANAGER

SALARY: £40,000 to £45,000 per/annum + Car Allowance

LOCATION: Weymouth, Dorset

HOURS: Permanent FT

QUALIFICATIONS – Previous experience supporting a number of Care Homes

REPORTS TO: OPERATIONS MANAGER

Coben Healthcare is delighted to support a fantastic Care Home looking to recruit a Support Manager to join their team overseeing Residential Nursing Homes situated across the South, Weymouth, Dorset,
where an experienced team of Home Managers and careers offer a fantastic environment for residential long stay care.

About the role

You will need to be a dedicated and experienced Support Manager to oversee the operations and ensure the highest standards of care across this providers various care homes in the South of England.
As a Support Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance, implementing policies and procedures, and supporting and mentoring staff to deliver outstanding care to their residents.

About the Role

Provide effective leadership and management, including the appropriate people are recruited for the key roles and ensure they are trained to complete their role. Foster a positive and inclusive work culture that aligns with our client’s vision and values.
Recruit, train, and mentor care home managers and staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
Monitor and manage the financial and business performance of the homes, including budgeting, financial reporting, and business development. Identify areas of improvement and implement strategies to achieve financial targets.
Ensure that the homes are compliant with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Implement action plans to maintain compliance and manage risks.
Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Address and resolve any concerns or issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Implement performance monitoring and reporting systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and outcomes.

Skills and Attributes

Proven experience in managing a care home or similar healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of financial management, compliance, and regulatory requirements in the care home industry.
Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of best practices in quality care and environment for elderly residents.
